In 1988 Daryn was 16 years old and freshly sponsored by High Voltage Surfboards, this was a very memorable time for him and it had little to do with the sponsorship.  It was that he also asked if he was interested in designing a new logo for the Boards! (Proud Moment) this would become an annual job for Daryn, designing t’shirts, and event posters, at one point in time there where 9 surf shops in the area, 7 of the stores had branding by Daryn. Now fast forward 37 years, and you can find the logos still being used on the boards Mike Murden produces out of a small factory in Mount Maunganui, good design withstands the test of time.
